Fifth set: The random set...Do or die.

I may seem really shy and snobbish at first but when you get to know me you will realize that you did the wrong thing (getting to know me), because I am wild and crazy. PERIOD.

47. I want to travel the whole world if that is possible. Not only tour Europe, I also want to go on a roadtrip USA. I want to see the wild side of Africa. I want to feel the freezing and numbing temperature of Antarctica. I want to ride a camel in the Middle East. I want... I want...

48. I must be a Dean’s Lister thrice before I die. Five years in La Salle is not a joke, so let me add some spice to my college life. Plus, I am definitely sure it is going to make my parents feel awesome.

49. I must meet KiD CuDi. Why? One main reason is because he is black and I do not mind if my parents are racist but I am going to marry him if he asks me to. HIHI.

50. I would like to get drunk and not care about the world for just a night or day and feel free and live life like there’s no tomorrow. I will do whatever I want not caring about everyone but as much as possible not hurting anyone. Although I got drunk few times already, this state would be different among those and it is for me to determine its distinction.

51. Before I die, I will never ever try to do drugs. As much as possible, I want to be clean as long as I exist. Even though I have been hearing about some of the people I know doing it, I still do not want to even try. I smoke but I do not smoke pot.

52. I will never let myself be influenced to get tattoos. Not that I have anything against those who have one but because I am not a fan of it. Two reasons: I am a bit scared of needles and it is dirty for me. Sorry.

53. I want to visit at least five beaches in or out of the country. Not only visit but of course, savour its beauty. Also, enjoy the night life while in that particular beach.

54. I want to stargaze with the person I love. (Cheessssssyyyyy!). Just like in the movie, “A Walk to Remember”, it is just so romantic and I am undeniably romantic.

55. I want to be happily married. Geez, why did I even start off with no. 54. This mushiness would continue until no. 77, I am telling you. I’m just kidding. Anyway, who does not want to be happily married? But as of now, I don’t want to even think about it. No marriage yet unless I am done with my “Eurotrip adventure” and “USA Roadtrip”.

56. I want to have only two kids, a boy and a girl. I will name him Prince and her Phoebe. (These names may change though)

57. I would like to skinny-dip with my college best friend or whoever wants to join someday. See? That is crazy wild. But I will not do it with a guy around of course.

58. I must have a stable job. Yes, I must earn a lot of moolahs and save up. I want to experience working hard then at the end of the month you will realize that everything pays off.

59. I want to learn how to play the guitar and the piano. Seriously. I asked my mom to buy me a piano last year and she bought me one but I never had the time to learn how to play that thing. I really want to but because of school’s demands, I had no time to do so.

60. I want to have a whole sketchpad be filled with my drawings or doodles. I used to buy sketchpads before. I think I had three. I have never reached the last page. I always end up at the middle. I remember I used to draw Mickey Mouse but he always end up looking like Jollibee. A star with swirls has always been my favourite. Anyway, yes... I have a passion for art though it doesn’t seem like it.

61. I must have a LAVA LAMP. The sidebar of my laptop caught my attention. I put a lava lamp thing on it. Then I thought to myself, I chose that lava lamp because I have wanted to have one since birth. I first saw a real one in People are People. Man, I am going to buy one.

62. I must ride a mountain bike again. The last time I rode one was like six years ago? I can see myself riding a girly bike with a basket in front and flowers in it. I must ride a bike again... Age doesn’t matter really.

63. I want to learn at least 5 languages. It is important just in case you encounter foreigners anywhere. At least you can speak their language, even just the basic. So far, I can speak in English (duh!), French (Level 5 only), and a bit Chinese (like Wo ai ni, Xih xih, Wo si huan ni), and Spanish (Guapa, Merde, Porque)... I’m not even sure with the spelling.

64. I want to design my own house. I’m not an architect so that would be hard but I want it built the way I imagined it to be. A pool is in the list.

65. I would like to live in an island for a week with only my friends. That would be pure adventure and fun. Next to my family, my friends are the group of people I can’t live without. They make my day worth living. I just can’t imagine life without them and I am definitely sure a week with them would be crazy.

66. I must party all night and sleep all day for a week. Yes, free from stress, from work maybe. I always want to have fun, I belong to that bandwagon.

67. I want to fall in love with only one person forever. This is hard though because I’m the type who easily fall for someone but this want is something like chalk and cheese. I will figure it out someday.

68. I want to learn how to “pop lock and drop it”. That is a dance I found out on Youtube. I want to learn how to dance it.

69. I must be expressive. A trait of me that I want to change is being impassive. I must tell what I really feel. If possible, I should always tell my parents how much i love them every single day.

70. I should make my parents proud of me in the future. I admit I am not the typical good daughter but I want to prove them wrong someday. So I should really do my best still and even more.

71. I must change my habit of sleeping late. Hello! I’m Joyce and I’m an insomniac. It’s not good though because my eyebags are getting worse. Plus, it results to waking up late.

72. I should buy a planner yearly from now on until forever. I am forgetful and I know a planner would be of big help. But the problem is, sometimes I even forget I have a planner.

73. I must learn how to walk wearing heels. That’s one of my weaknesses. Someday, I know, heels would be my best friend because it is necessary for office attire so I should befriend it from now on.

74. I want to be in two places at one time. I got that from the movie “A Walk to Remember” again. But wouldn’t that be cool? I want to do it before I die.

75. I want to ride the rollercoaster again. Any rollercoaster would do except those that are scary and would kill me. I would want to try the one at Disney World.

76. I want to have the hairstyle I’ve been dreaming for when I start working since it would feel good if I pay for all the expenses. It is my hair anyway. The length and the color would be all up to me. Why? It is because I had a trauma before when I already loved my hair then I still felt unsatisfied so I went to the salon to have it cut then I regretted it.

77. Before I die, I must arrange everything: the songs to be played on my burial, the theme, the flowers, the programs. I want it well-planned by me.

Fourth set: Let me take care of you.

41. A Dachshund.
... because I do not want big dogs. Ironically, we have a Labrador at home.

42. An angelfish or blowfish.
...because ever since we had this big aquarium at home before, I have always dreamt of having my own little aquarium with all of my favourites in it.

43. A hamster.
...I used to have two before but they got lost in our house. I can still remember every detail. I was in 7th grade; I bought two hamsters for our project. The night before I had to bring them off to school, I checked them out and they were still sleeping. When I woke up, they were gone. 

44. An unfortunate kid.
...I was moved by my FTK (For the Kids) experience twice and I will not stop if given the time to touch a kid’s life by my little ways.

45. A lost dog.
...But not an “Askal or Asong Kalye” please? HAHAHA. I want to adopt a dog someday.

46. A special someone.
...Oh yes. Hahaha. I don't even want to explain. *winks.

Third Set: I want this and that.

Third set would all be about what I want to have. This list would not be a short one, I am warning you. In fact, it might even have a continuation. :) So before I die, I want to purchase all of these. (Donations!)

21. A complete set of Pastel/Rainbow/Neon-colored Nail Polishes.
...because I love to paint my nails.

22. A Ferrari Sport car.
...because it is a luxury for me. If I get to buy one then probably I can die already...not really.

23. A franchise of McDonald’s.
...because I eat everything in McDo except the crew.

24. A Mansion.
...because everyone wants to have one. Who doesn’t want to have one too?

25. A gigantic alarm clock
...because most of my friends would agree that I am more often than not late.

26. A collection of Havaianas.
...because they are a bunch of cute and comfortable slippers.

27. A condominium.
...because sometimes having a house is too complicated. Also, it is ideal for me to have since I live far.

28. A collection of cute tops.
...because I love to tog up sometimes.

29. A collection of skinny jeans.
...because I feel comfortable wearing skinny jeans. I can pair it with any top.

30. A supply of dark chocolates.
...because I am a dark chocolate aficionado. Almost all of my close friends know about this.

31. A bank account containing gazillion dollars.
...because I am insatiable. I want to have gazillions of money so i could buy everything I want.

32. A farm.
...because I love to eat vegetables and of course meat too. So if I have a farm then it would be easier to harvest veggies and just eat them instantly.

33. A supply of Hello Panda.
...because it is my favourite snack of all times.

34. A personal assistant.
...because I am forgetful. I need someone to remind me I have to do this and that and help me just in case I cannot do it anymore.

35. A private airplane.
...because I want to travel the world. This would be very out of reach though unless someone would give me one.

36. A plane ticket to Europe.
...because just in case I do not get #35 then this would be the other way to travel the my favourite continent.

37. An iPhone.
...because I love its features.

38. A supply of Mountain Dew.
...because it is my favourite soft drink.

39. A set of perfumes: Echo for Women by Davidoff, Light Blue from Dolce & Gabbana, Clinique Happy, and many more.
...because I want to smell good always.

40. A collection of MAC makeup.
...because I am frustrated in applying makeup. For a beginner, I want to have a MAC since most of the people would all agree that this is a very good brand. *winks.

Second set: Dream Jobs.

The first set is about my European dream. The second set would be about my dream jobs when I was still a kid. Please do no laugh at it because as I was still innocent at that time if you know what I mean. Some of the dream jobs here just came out of the blue recently.

11. Be a gasoline girl for a day.
...because I wanted to be one when I was a kid is because I love the smell of gasoline. I do not care whether I will work for Shell, Petron, or Caltex as long as I will be hired.

12. Be a cashier woman in a convenient store.
...because I enjoy watching cashier ladies do their tasks and see myself doing the same thing like getting the items that they have purchased and all that jazz.

13. Be a tollgate cashier lady.
...because I just want to sit all day sometimes and meet different kinds of people every day.

14. Be a tourist guide in the Philippines.
...because I have not travelled the whole country yet so if I become one, I would get to know more of this wonderful country we are living in and brag about its wonders.

15. Be a barista in Starbucks.
...because I love the smell of coffee and Starbucks is the place to be.

16. Be a wedding planner.
...because I feel very sentimental when I attend to church weddings. I want to make weddings as perfect as possible. Someday, I want to be the one to arrange my dream wedding too and make it happen.

17. Be an Accounting professor.
...because I want to experience how it feels like to be an Accounting professor and why there are some who are inconsiderate.

18. Be a fashion designer.
...because I love to mix and match colors and clothes even though it is not that evident.

19. Be a painter.
...because I love art.

20. Be a successful businesswoman.
...because I see myself in the corporate world.

Chère maman...

This is a letter that would bring back the memories we had. I know that a lot of things have changed already. I am already a grownup and not the baby girl you used to cuddle. Even though things have changed, the memories we had before will never be over and done. It will always linger in my heart as long as I live. Before anything else Ma, let me now stroll down memory lane...

I can still remember those times when you arrive home late and the first person you will look for is me. My siblings used to label me the “spoiled brat” of our family because you always give me what I want and even if I was the bad girl, you always go to my side. I can still recall those times when you carry, hug, kiss, and pamper me. Of course, who would forget the big smile on your face when I graduated from Nursery? You were so proud back then because I received an award. Indeed, I was your favourite girl back then but I have a feeling I have become, at one point in time, your worst daughter. Are you still proud of me?

Time overlooked and I have matured. The Doyt-Doyt who used to hug and kiss you turned into someone who is less expressive and sweet. I lost your trust when I went out, told a lie, and went home very late. Not only that, my grades unsatisfied you and Papa. I know that I have disappointed you for numerous times already and I am really very sorry.

Sorry is not enough for all the things I have done that have hurt you... but Ma, I love you. I hope these three words are enough to let you know that even if time has passed; the little Doyt-Doyt is still her Mama’s favourite daughter. I may have grown a little taller and I may have learned to do bad deeds, but always remember that my heart never changed. You will always be inside of it and never be replaced.

Making things happen before the bomb explodes.

The clock is ticking, do it or do not do it. It would be your loss if you do not even try.

I extremely hate regrets. That is mainly the reason why I try to live life to the fullest. As much as possible, I do not want to let any moment just pass me by because I know that at the end of the day, it would only make me miserable. I am scared of the randomness of time and the unpredictability of my own death. However, these fears made me realize the importance of time and so before my existence breathes its last; I would want to do the following:

First set: Since I have been drooling over the sceneries in Europe which I could just only witness through Google, my first set would all be related to this stunning continent.

1. Go on a Eurotrip and France would definitely be the first stop. (I accept donations!)

- J’aime France. (“I Love France”). I would want to explore and learn more about their culture. I want to be surrounded with French people and be drowned with their own language because I know I would definitely fall for it.

2. Drink beer in Germany

- Germany is famous for their beers. I drink but I am not an alcoholic. Funny it may seem but I am not a fan of beer however, if I were to go to Germany, their beer would be my first beverage.

3. Lean on the Leaning Tower of Pisa

- I am serious about this. To be able to just lean on it would partly complete my existence because the awesome sight of its position is uncertain yet it has been proven that it will not fall.

4. Stare at Mona Lisa’s face till her eyebrows appear.

- This is impossible but I really want to see the genuine painting of Leonardo da Vinci and that is the only reason.

5. Join an equality parade at Poland

- I got interested in Polish culture when we did our thesis on Polish LGBT rights. The equality parades which were held to fight against discrimination caught my attention and made me want to play a part in it.

6. Walk and dance in the rain in London

- It might seem intriguing that of all the places where I would want to walk and dance I picked London. The reason is I often imagine myself in the streets of London wandering around then suddenly the rain starts to pour and it caught me but the real thing is I have been anticipating for it.

7. Change the time of Big Ben

- I know I am not capable of doing this but it is about making things happen. This would be one of the things I would want to try. However, if it would still remain impossible, I would just kidnap one of those who arrange its hands, repaint, and clean it.

8. Take a picture of 10 Downing St.

- One simple reason: I would need a hard proof that I was able to step on the grounds of this very renowned street.

9. Sleep inside a phone booth at London

- London would be the next on my list after France. It appears that 3 out of my 10 dream tasks would be occurring there. Yes, I would want to experience sleeping inside a phone booth at London because I want to be crazy sometimes and this would be fun as long as I would be with a friend watching. J No, it being red is not a reason.

10. Cliffdive at Santorini, Greece

- It may not seem evident but I love adventures. In the movie “The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2”, there was a scene there where the four main characters jumped off from a cliff and had fun after all the edginess that kept them from jumping. I would want to also prove myself that I am capable of doing one of the scariest things in sports... at least for me.
